Whidbey Island Wedding Celebration – Seattle Courthouse Wedding

Reasons why you should get married at a courthouse just the two of you, on a mountain with your closest friends, at the beach privately, at venue with 200 of your favorite people, etc- because you fricken want to. Don’t let people and trends and Instagram posts sway the way YOU want to do your wedding. It’s yours and your partners day. No one else’s.

Weddings, elopements and ceremonies come in alllll shapes and sizes but one thing I can tell you as a wedding photographer, the love in those spaces is truly unmatched. Regardless of the location, the smiles on those faces are NEVER bigger. All you really need is love, am I right?

This collection is a special one because first we have THE marriage. The big day where Hasanthi and Colin finally signed those papers and became Mr. and Mrs. at the courthouse in Seattle. Hasanthi was so excited you can see her smile in every shot, except those super focused ones where she’s actually signing haha.

Then we have the celebration at Whidbey Island! (Scroll to the wedding celebration you won’t regret it!)

These two celebrated by the lake surrounded by family and Hasanthi looked so beautiful in her sari. The celebration with her family was so amazing to experience and they were all so wonderful to get to meet!

Moral of the story is, get married how YOU feel is perfect for YOU and your partner. Spend that special day feeling completely where you’re supposed to be and doing what feels right. Don’t forget to bring someone (aka me) along to document those precious memories. Because you’ll cheerish them forever and ever.

Enjoy!
