This awesome family welcomed me into their Whidbey Island home to capture this special season of their life, and the joy of their sweet newborn boy ,Seth, for exactly as it is. 

Documenting your memories in the comfort of your own home is such a special kind of energy. These kinds of sessions give you the freedom to just be with your family in an authentic and natural way. The family dynamic is captured in a light that’s just so unique and true to the connection you share as a family. You really can document what life looks like for you RIGHT NOW.  Because we all know, things change before you know it.

One day you’ll look back at the kiddos in your photos playing with their toys, in your living room. And wonder “HOW did they get so big?” And “WHEN did he outgrow those toys?”

But most importantly you’ll remember exactly how those stages felt when you see the photos of your family living in that season together. 

Those stages move so quickly and it doesn’t get much better than being able to hold onto those memories in the pure, unfiltered state they were taken in. 

In my own experience, (and I’m sure many others too) motherhood has been hard and trying, but it’s also the MOST beautiful mess I’ve ever experienced. And I would do it over and over and over again just to keep experiencing my boy in all his stages. What I would give to go back to this time with him and savor it a little longer. 

Giving that gift to families is one of the best parts of this job!
